Privacy & cookies
The short version: Solvolto's calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a tool are never sent to us or stored on a server. We keep only your theme and sound preferences on your own device, and any analytics or advertising run only after you consent.
01Who we are
Solvolto ("we", "us") operates the website at solvolto.com, a free hub of home-electrification calculators. You can reach us at hoscidnum@proton.me for any privacy question or request.
02Information we collect
We are built to collect as little as possible:
- Calculator inputs: values you enter into any tool (such as battery size or electricity rate) are processed in your browser only. They are not transmitted to us and we never see or store them.
- Local preferences: your chosen theme (dark or light), sound setting, and cookie choice are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit.
- Aggregate analytics (only with consent): if you accept, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which tools are popular. This uses anonymised, aggregated data and is never tied to your identity.
We do not ask for or store names, emails or accounts to use the calculators.
03Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage for essential preferences (theme, sound, your consent choice). These are not tracking cookies and are required for the site to remember your settings. Non-essential analytics (Google Analytics 4) load only after you select "Accept" in the cookie notice. Advertising (Google AdSense) may set cookies to deliver and measure ads; you can decline analytics and manage or opt out of personalised ads as described below, without losing any tool functionality.
04Third-party services
- Fonts: we load typefaces from Google Fonts, which may log the request as part of delivering the font.
- "Ask AI" links: the assistant buttons open external sites (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot) in a new tab. Those services have their own privacy policies.
- Analytics & advertising: Google Analytics 4 (usage measurement) loads only after you accept the cookie notice. Google AdSense delivers ads and may set cookies, including for personalised ads where permitted by your settings and local law. Google processes this under its Privacy Policy; opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings. In the EEA/UK, a Google-certified consent platform should govern ad personalisation.
05Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to or opt out of certain processing. Because we hold no personal account data, most requests are satisfied simply by clearing your browser storage. For anything else, email hoscidnum@proton.me and we will respond within a reasonable time.
06Data retention & security
Preferences stay on your device until you clear them. We do not maintain a database of personal information about visitors. Any aggregate analytics are retained only in summarised form for as long as needed to understand usage trends.
07Children
Solvolto is a general-audience informational tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected here.
